Launch of Technical Training Centre

Alkhidmat Foundation Gujrat has launched a Technical Training Centre in Kharian with collaboration of Al-Falah, Norway. First of all, Electrician (House Wiring) and computer courses have been started.  Electrician course is absolutely free of charge whereas the fee for the computer course is Rs.500/- per month.  But, this course also will be free for the deserving children.  Later, other short technical courses like mobile repairing, driving, plumbing and welding courses will also be introduced.  The course duration will be three months.  Along with training the students vocational skills, their moral and religious education has also been arranged.  The Alkhidmat Foundation President, Ch. Ansar Mehmood Advocate threw light on the objectives and targets of the institution and told the audience students that this was the second scheme of Alkhidmat Foundation to reduce unemployment and poverty.  The first one is the Micro Financing through which they are trying to reach the same goals.  The youth who could not go to school will be able to get a respectable job in a very short span of time, so that they may earn bread and butter for their family and also render their services to the society as a good skilled worker and teacher.  He further told that this institution has been launched as a model technical training centre so that many other institutions on the same lines may also be initiated.
